* Current Version of HTML is HTML 5.0 published on 2012
What is HTML ?
* HTML is the markup language used to display Web pages on the Internet.
* Web pages are composed of HTML, which is used to display text, images or other resources through a Web browser.
Understanding abbreviation of H | T | M | L:
HTML stands for:
* Hypertext – Any text in the web page, when clicked on it allows to navigate to another web page, so that text is called hypertext .
* Markup language – A markup language is a computer language that uses tags to define elements within a document.
Examples for markup language : XML, HTML, SGML etc..
Any language written with the help of angular braces can be called as markup language
