Building a $5K Website with Google Stitch + Claude Code (No WordPress or Figma)

The old way to build a client website: mock it up in Figma, rebuild it in WordPress, fight the theme, and still ship something slow.

There’s a cleaner way now. Design the page in Google Stitch, hand it to Claude Code, and build the real site in Astro. No WordPress. No Figma. No page builder.

In this video I build a website front to back with Google Stitch and Claude Code, and I show the exact setup that makes the two work together.

What’s inside:
– Setting up the Google Stitch MCP so Claude Code can read the design
– The Claude Code setup that makes this repeatable: the CLAUDE.md file, the supporting files, and how the MCP connection is wired
– Designing the homepage in Google Stitch
– Handing that design to Claude Code and building it in Astro, section by section

The point is not a magic prompt. It is a system: a design tool, a build agent, and a clean connection between them, so the thing you design is the thing you ship.

If you build sites for local businesses or clients, this is the stack I would start from today.

Tools used: Google Stitch, Claude Code, Astro.
