This lightweight form factor is what I like about this classic plugin – though some would question why it doesn’t have the functionality to save the summited form data to the WordPress database – well I guess thats the point, if it’s not required by everyone don’t include it, and keep it lightweight.
But help is at hand if you need to store Contact Form 7 submissions in your data base – the benefit being you can cross reference the emails you receive as well as download them as a CSV file to easily upload to your mailing service or other CRM.
It’s an add on plugin by the same chap that made Contact Form 7 itself so is most definitely the right tool for the job! It’s called “Flamingo” and takes moments to set up.
