Hey guys, and welcome to the channel! Have you been thinking about opening an online shop, but don’t know which website builder to choose? Well, you’ve come to the right place. In this video, I’ll be reviewing both Shopify and Squarespace, the two most popular e-commerce website builders on the marketetter suits your needs. How will you know which provider is the right one for your next webshop? Well, I’ve spent the last few months testing them both, and I chose Shopify. Now, come along and join me in this Shopify vs. Squarespace review! Let’s look at what Squarespace and Shopify offer in more detail. First, the good news: both providers offer you a way to test out their platforms without spending any money. Whether you’re just starting out, scaling, or are already extremely profitable, there’s a plan well-suited for you. Then what are the actual differences in Shopify’s plans? The way it works is that the more advanced plans offer more advanced tools such as reporting, analytics, lower fees for transactions, more locations and staff accounts. Next, moving onto Squarespace. With Squarespace, services are not limited to e-commerce, they cater to anyone that wants to build a website. Options for e-commerce start with the second plan option since the first one is only for simple websites. The lowest you can start selling at is $23 a month for the Business plan, $27 a month for the Basic Commerce plan, or $49 for the Advanced Commerce plan. You’ll also receive a free domain name for one year, which is a nice addition. So what’s the difference between the standard and more expensive plans? Moving from lower to higher price, you will be gaining more value and useful tools, such as abandoned cart recovery, advanced shipping, and subscription selling. With Shopify, you don’t have drag-and-drop controls. Instead, each element is placed in a specific predetermined place. That means that you build your website from the top, adding new sections or part of these sections as you go down. As a result, most Shopify web stores will have, more or less identical structures. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing since you can have your shop up and running in just a few short hours, instead of spending days overthinking where to place a button. On the other hand, Squarespace’s website editor is all about freedom and drag-and-drop controls. You’re not limited by the placement of elements and can add even elements on top of each other to create whatever you want. You have more options but also more decisions to make, which can stall you from launching your business. Overall, if you want style and lots of tools to craft the perfect design, go with Squarespace. But if you want to build a working modern store and move quickly – as in make money as quickly as possible, choose Shopify. Now, both providers offer very similar packages with every needed e-commerce feature you might think of. However, after trying most of them out, I like the Shopify approach so much more. I also love the level of customer support they offer. Also, Squarespace has nothing on Shopify when it comes to add-ons. Shopify has over 7,000 extensions. Yeah, you heard that right. Both Shopify and Squarespace are amazing tools for building a business or selling online. Both offer easy-to-use tools, lots of life-improving features, and affordable options for businesses. Each has its small cons and is slightly better than the other from different people’s perspectives. To wrap things up, which e-commerce platform is best for your business? While Squarespace is more design and style-oriented, Shopify is much more straightforward and quicker to monetize, so thats why I think thatit’s your best bet for an efficient online store.
