Guest Posting

Guest posting simply involves writing an article for another blog within your general niche. In your guest blog article you would simply add your URL either in an author bio section or within the content itself (this all depends on the opportunity). This is a simple yet effective way to build quality backlinks.

HOW TO FIND GUEST POST OPPORTUNITIES? (6:16)

1.) Research Relevant Blogs: Simply start by researching blogs related to your niche. For example, if you’re in the technology niche, you may do a simple Google search for:

– “technology blogs”
– “top tech blogs”
– “technology blogs accepting guest posts”

2.) Use Search Queries: To drill down even further, you should use specific search queries in Google designed to identify potential guest post opportunities. See examples below:

– “write for us” + “keyword”
– “guest post” + “keyword”
– “writers” + “keyword”
– “submit content” + “keyword”
– “contributors” + “keyword”

3.) Utilize Guest Posting Tools: You can also utilize tools dedicated to helping you find guest post opportunities. There are many out there so make sure to do your research, but a few below include:

– Guestposttracker.com
– Bigguestposting.com

SPOT CHECKING THE DOMAIN AUTHORITY (DA) (12:16)

When you come across a potential guest post opportunity, you will want to spot check the domain authority of the website. This will let you know if it’s worth going after or not. I recommend if you’re a newer website to target opportunities that have a DA of at least 15 or higher. A free tool to use for this is below:

ORGANIZING YOUR LIST OF GUEST POST OPPORTUNITIES (13:30)

Please reference my video and/or blog post on how to set this up properly. Essentially what you want to do here is add all of the guest post opportunities you find to an excel doc or Google sheet. This will help keep your research nice and organized.

CRAFTING AN EMAIL OUTREACH TEMPLATE (18:18)

Next you will want to come up with an email outreach template that you can use to contact your guest post opportunities. Please reference my video/blog post for a specific template that you can copy and try for yourself. This is a style of email that converts really well when targeting potential guest post opportunities.

WRITING YOUR GUEST POST ARTICLES (22:14)

Sometimes certain opportunities will provide you with guidelines to follow, such as word count, formatting etc. Make sure to follow these guest post guidelines for the best chance of your article getting published.
