When using CSS in Squarespace, there are two ways to apply custom code to only on page on your website. I use this technique a LOT to turn any regular page on my site into a landing page, but also to do cool things like custom form styles or playing around with unique buttons.

This quick tutorial shows you the two ways to apply code to one single page. The first option I cover is called “page header code injection” and it does exactly what it sounds like – adds some code to the header of the page. This is my preferred method because most browsers load the header before the rest of the page content. That means any CSS changes you are trying to make will load before what you are trying to change loads!

However, at the time of making this tutorial, that is a premium feature, and well… not every Squarespace site has a premium budget! If you are using a personal plan, you can still add some code using my second method, an on-page code block. Adding a code block might make your load time a bit longer, but the end result is the same – a different visual style on one page thanks to custom CSS.

Now YouTube won’t allow me to add this specific type of code in a video description, so I will add it to the comments below. When you are ready to try it on your own, scroll down to the comments to grab the code I used in this demo.
