Building a streaming PC in 2026 costs more than ever. So I stopped waiting and used a Steam Deck instead.
I hooked it up with a capture card, webcam, and mic, loaded OBS, and actually tested it. Here’s what I found: OBS runs 1080p 60fps without breaking a sweat. DaVinci Resolve 21 won’t open due to GPU processing mode limitations. Kdenlive, a completely free editor, works as the workaround nobody talks about.
