Squarespace made some BIG changes to their interface, and on January 13th, they released the new version Squarespace 7.1 to the worldwide web!

A lot of people have been asking me – how can I tell which version of Squarespace I am using?! It’s a great question, especially if you want to learn how to customize your site with code, because of some of the CSS codes that work in 7.0 sites won’t work in 7.1 😱

Its actually really easy to tell which version of Squarespace you are using, and this video will show you how to check as soon as you log in to your site.

I recommend making sure you know which one you are using before trying any custom code work! And if you ARE still in 7.0, know your theme family!

Theme families make a REALLY big difference in what custom codes will work for your site and which ones won’t. To find out more about 7.0 theme families, check out this article on my blog at https://insidethesquare.co/theme
